TEXPERS monitors legislative issues and works to keep abreast of
the legislative developments affecting Texas public pension
funds at both the state and federal levels. One of our main
focuses is maintaining ongoing communication with Texas
legislators in order to build relationships with the state’s
elected officials.
With our Legislative Focus Group, TEXPERS is the bridge for
members to interact with the legislators at the State Capitol.
The Legislative Focus Group are individuals motivated to stay
abreast of pension issues and prepared to contact their local
state elected officials regarding pension issues. TEXPERS
members can now sign up to be a part of this group
and become a significant player in protecting Texas public
pension funds.
