House Pensions & Investments Committee to Host Public Hearing at 8 a.m. on April 12

The Texas House Committee on Pensions, Investments and Financial Services is holding a public hearing at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 12 in E2.014 of the Capitol Building. 

The committee, chaired by Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, R-Keller, will hear testimony on several proposed legislation, including the following pensions and investments related bills: 

  • HB 3254, relating to the purchase of service credit by certain members of the Employees Retirement System of Texas.
  • HB 3367, relating to the contributions to, benefits from, and the administration of the Judicial Retirement System of Texas Plan Two.
  • HB 3495, relating to the investment authority of certain state agencies and the confidentiality of certain information related to those investments.
  • HB 3886, relating to the eligibility of participants in the state employees group benefits program for certain federal benefits.
  • HB 4000, relating to the public retirement systems for employees of certain municipalities.
