Celebrating World Population Day on Tuesday, July 11, 2023

July 11 is World Population Day, a time to celebrate the growth of our global society and recognize how population changes impact our lives. The U.S. Census Bureau population projections indicate the world population will surpass 8 billion by the end of this year.

Since the first World Population Day in 1989, the world population has steadily increased. According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s population clock, the current world population is 7.9 billion and our world’s population will exceed 8 billion people by the end of 2023.

As we celebrate World Population Day on July 11 this year, it’s important to consider how our planet's growth affects us all – including our retirement pensions!

We look forward to seeing what #CensusData tells us about our global society when 2023 ends and how it might potentially impact our retirement pensions here in Texas.

Happy World Population Day everyone!
